Frost…

Woke up this morning to a white frosty morning. I took this photo just on sunrise looking out across the rear garden and across the Thames. It is bit grainy but the moon was still out and the mist was just beginning to evaporate.

Week Two

Wow, another week gone and still so much to organize.

Chris and Wayne returned to Vienna yesterday. They will be pushing on to Barcelona then Chris will go on to lake Constance for a few weeks. The weather is just gorgeous with lots of sunshine so I have been taking long walks along the Thames but you still need a coat and scarf for mornings and afternoons as it is still very chilly. Our neighbors have made me feel incredibly welcome making it just so easy to settle in. It has been a bit of a struggle organizing banking and services but next week will see it all totally set up. I have to keep reminding myself it has only been two weeks since I arrived. It already feels like home and now Chris and I are happy to call Britain home for a long time. We wake up each morning to see rowing teams speeding past as they train on the Thames, we feed the swans and ducks from our back lawn then walk in to the village for a late breakfast (or early lunch!). Chris is busy discovering the local pubs. The George gets both our votes as our favorite local, and it is only a two minute walk from home.

Lydia and Lottie will be arriving in about two weeks time and I can hardly wait!!!!!

England!!!!!

Been in the UK exactly a week today! Have not yet organized Internet for the apartment so I am using my iPhone. Should have a connection arranged by next week so I can then start some serious blogging….:). Wayne and Chris arrive today from Berlin and as soon as they drop their bags it is off to do some serious shopping! Had one day of snow but otherwise it has been crisp clear days. It may have only been a week but I looooooooving it!…..Cherie xoxo

Wayne, Chris , Singapore

Received a text from Chris about his weekend in Singapore…so far he has ridden a Segway around the island, flown in mid air in the IFly ( each jump is 12,000 feet, Wayne and Chris did 3 jumps each ) , dined at one of the top ten restaurants in the world, kissed a Chinese bride, whilst every night he goes to the bar and listens to live music and drink with the band members afterward.

Ready, Set, Go

Ok, time to take a deep breath. The guys are on their way to Coffs Harbour to see Dorothy and catch up with friends for a final au revoir before leaving for Singapore. Meanwhile I am about have a final two weeks in Australia luxuriating on the Gold Coast.

The past three weeks have been unbelievable! We have once again packed up our home, placed it all in long term storage ( including the two cars ), found a home to lease in London, and….commenced building a home in Brisbane. There were moments we all thought ‘it can’t be done’ but we made it!
