Thank you to everyone for wonderful birthday wishes. It was classic English weather, a little bit of sunshine, a little bit of cloud a little bit of rain, a little bit of everything!….all four seasons in one day! After breakfast at the Dolphin with Chris, and Lydia, we zipped off to Basildon Park where Pride and Prejudice was filmed….Lydia and I both fell in love with the house and the gorgeous grounds. I simply just have to have one!

Sorry the blogging has not been as frequent as it should! My only excuse has been the days have flown by sooooo quick it seems the minute we have breakfast it is already night and we are all tumbling in to bed. At the moment I am the only one still up so i have only got a few photos from my phone to upload……but Lottie has taken heaps. Just need to get a few minutes together so we can do an upload
Lydia and Lottie at Stonehenge. It was sooooo windy ![]()

Lottie, Sophia and Rosie
Oops.
Lottie’s photos have accidentally been deleted. However there are a few from my iPhone that I have uploaded. All is not a disaster however as Lottie’s most important snap of the trip so far….the one with the two little girls in the pink tutu’s in London is safely uploaded to Lottie’s Facebook! As we will all be returning to London for more shopping, sightseeing and some West End shows we will still get those piccies yet…

Lydia and Lottie have arrived!
Lydia and Lottie have arrived! Actually they arrived a few days ago and we have not stopped since. We have explored Wallingford, been to Oxford, Dorchester, Bath and today they have gone to London with Chris.
We have taken lots of snaps ( mainly on Lottie’s fab new camera ) but are yet to upload them to the blog. However when everyone gets back tonight we will have an upload “fest”!!! So check back sometime in the next 24 hours for some super shots !!!
The Church Next Door
Could not resist taking this photo of the Church next door. This is the actual view from our ensuite window at home…
We went to lunch today at the tearooms in Dorchester on Thames then visited the Dorchester Abbey which was built 1300 years ago. Going to go back with Chris, Lydia and Lottie next week and will take my camera! I am totally in love with Dorchester, from the tearooms and pubs to the beautiful thatched cottages.

What ever happened?
Have had a few enquiries lately about what ever happened to the Farm and Soapshed? This reminded me that I had taken a few photos just before leaving Australia. What can I say but “a picture is worth a thousand words”….
When my storage arrives from Australia I will be making an album of before, during and after our ownership of the the Farm. It will be an interesting comparison.
New Car
Picked up my new car yesterday and spent the morning driving! As it is another magnificent day again today (Sunday) I think I will have to do the same again. The weather has genuinely turned this time and I even have ventured outside with just a long sleeve T, jeans and a shawl on. Everyone else is in shorts, tank tops and flip flops (thongs). This is the warmest start to spring in over 30 years and the councils have taken out full page advertisements in the newspapers declaring an official drought.
